The USC Aiken men's basketball team suffered a close defeat in its homecoming game against Armstrong Atlantic State University.

The Pacers led the game for nearly its entirety; however, they were unable to ever put the game out of reach of the Pirates. Armstrong Atlantic won the game on a put back by Gabriel Robinson.  Robinson hit the game winning lay up after he grabbed the rebound with six seconds left in the game.

The Pacers had one last chance to win the game but Sterling Council's last second shot bounced off the rim.

The Pacers leading scorer was Seth Leonard with 22 points.  Leonard also grabbed ten rebounds to record a double-double on the night. Council and Rashad Flowers both also scored in double figures with 11 points each.  Brandon Sheppard and Mark Brown rounded out the five pacers that scored in double digits.

The loss dropped the Pacers to third place in the East division of the Peach Belt Conference.
