The USC Aiken women's basketball team picked up its eighth conference victory of the season with a 70-59 win against Montevallo.
The win was the Pacers fourth in a row. The Pacers led for a majority of the game including the entire second half. USC Aiken built a large lead in the first half of the game, scoring 43 points. The Lady Pacers also showed off their defensive skills in the first half. Aiken held Montevallo to 23 points on 28 percent shooting from the field in the first half. Montevallo also turned the ball over eight times because of the Pacers tough defense.
The second half played out the same as the first with the Lady Pacers maintaining the lead throughout.
Three Pacers scored in double digits on the night. Kendra Chandler scored 13 points to go along with her nine rebounds. Daniela Tarailo had a career high 17 points. Tarailo was perfect from beyond the arch connecting on all five of her three pointers on the night. Catherine Cain led all scorers with 20 points for Aiken.
The Lady Pacers will next be in action tomorrow night as they take on UNC Pembroke.
