The USCA men's basketball team tried to avoid losing their fourth straight game, but the Lakers of Clayton State had something else in mind by delivering a 67-62 Peach Belt conference loss to the Pacers.

The Pacers held a 30-25 lead heading into half time. Clayton St. established control in the second half of play taking an eight point lead over the pacers 56-48. It was fair game at 58-58 when Byron Faison hit a three pointer with 1:59 remaining to tie the score.

Clayton St. would outscore the Pacers 9-4 in overtime to capture the victory. Byron Faison lead the team with 18 points.

Heading into the game against the Saints of North Georgia, the Pacers were on a four game losing streak and needed someone to step up and remind the Pacers why they were a Division II powerhouse.  That man was sophomore Alvin Brown.
