The Pacer baseball team completed the sweep of Shippensburg Sunday afternoon with an 8-5 win over the Raiders.

After giving up two early runs in the first inning the Pacers struck back in the bottom of the first inning with four runs on five hits.  The first four batters in the Pacers lineup all reached base and scored in the first inning.

USCA continued their hot hitting in the next inning matching the 4 runs from the first inning. Catcher Josh Miller put the first two runs on the board in the second inning with his second homerun of the season. Kyle Rice and Jowan Gray batted in the other two runs for the Pacers.

The 8-2 lead lasted until the top of the fifth inning. Bill Miller drove in two runs for the Raiders on a single to centerfield. B. Miller later scored on a sacrifice fly by Steve Sulcoski.

The three runs in the top of the fifth were the final runs scored in the game by either team. Taylor Peed and Houston Taylor combined to shutout the Raiders over the next three innings. Joe Tart came in for the ninth inning and picked up the save for the Pacers.
