When should we get them?

Many students seem to think that we don’t get overage checks within a reasonable enough time frame. Some wait a week, some wait two weeks, but exactly when should overage checks be distributed. It is the opinion of most students that overage checks should distributed at least two weeks prior to classes beginning. This would give students time to check the prices for books online versus the price in the bookstore. It would also allow time for books ordered online to get to there destination  before classes start and within a reasonable time frame. It has been a personal experience of mine to have worked assigned from a textbook that has yet to arrive. If overage checks aren’t going to be distributed within a timeframe that will allow books to be purchased and or delivered, then professors should be kind enough to hold off on assigning work from a textbook. After all, they were once in our positions so its not like they don’t understand our frustration to a certain extent.
