Celebrities are normal people too

Celebrities assume that simply because they live under the burning spotlight, that they also live above the law and above any form of decency. The camera flashes don't mean you can do as please; if anything it ought to mean you live by a higher standard. As ridiculous as it sounds, many people look to celebrities as an example of who they want to be. Obviously, not enough people are paying attention to the internet and their televisions.

The people plastered across our magazines are only vague imitations what we should strive to be. Lady Gaga, followed by her seemingly devoted little monsters, is the poster child for everything outlandish and fake about Hollywood. Her overblown, and often food-themed costumes, make more wonder ‘what in the world she is thinking' rather than ‘what an individual.' Tell me, who would honestly look up to the train-wreck she often presents herself as in public? There is a difference between putting on a performance façade and having an ounce of class when attending formal events, as well as demonstrating to the judgmental public that you too can be an average person.

Fame is only producing celebrities in it to be seen, be talked about, and have increasingly shady press rather than use the extra face time to be someone spectacular. They often don't ever take responsibility for their actions, easily skipping out of jail time and other forms of punishment they deserve. We, as their lowly, normal counterparts, need to stop promoting this ludicrous image and if anything applaud them for their dissipating talent instead of their superb partying skills. After all, when the cameras disappear and the spotlight goes out, what are they really left with?
