Roberto Aragon has been involved in student government since he was in high school.

Last week Aragon earned another student government position when he was elected as the student body president for next school year.

He got his first taste of government experience his freshman year in high school when he successfully campaigned for the position of sophomore class president.  Aragon said he never really expected to win that year in high school, it just seemed like something fun to do.

The shock of his victory last week rivaled that of his shock he felt back in high school.

"I was so shocked when I got the phone call. I was walking to my car and I actually jumped when I heard the news," said Aragon.

Aragon has been a member of SGA for three years at USC Aiken. He held the position of Parliamentarian his sophomore year and is the current vice president.
