Microsoft’s latest toy: the “Kin”

Microsoft’s new Smartphone, the “Kin”, is the latest thing for the new generation of social networking, the company announced Monday. This phone will have multiple abilities that are liable to knock the iPhone out of style according to cnn.com

The phone consists of easy download features for photos to a home screen that’s constantly updated with feeds from services like Facebook and Twitter. The “Kin” is obviously designed for the young age groups “for whom social networking is a way of life”, cnn.com states.

“Self-expression is super important to them,” Said Robert Bach, president of Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division. “What they are, what they’re doing, they want to share the journey everyday…constantly publishing a magazine about their life”, cnn.com.

The “Kin” name is for a phone “that knits together a tight community of kindred’s spirits whose lives are shared and who broadcast all the time.”
