Ill-Legit Records Artists Schedule Release of First HD Music Video

AIKEN, S.C., April 27, 2010 – Zachary Armstrong, a junior business finance major at USC Aiken whose rap name is Dr. ILL, will release his first music video for the single “Payasos” on May 1.

The high-definition music video will be the label’s first visual production.  The company’s video will premiere on YouTube, and promotion through local programming in the CSRA will be announced at a later date.

“Shooting our first music video was very entertaining, and I can’t wait to see the finished product,” said Armstrong, who is the owner of his own record label called ILL. “This project exhibits how much our label has progressed as far as talent and the business moves we’ve been making over the past three years.”

The video was produced in collaboration with independent filmmaker Darren Willbanks.  Footage for the music video was captured around different areas throughout the metropolitan area of Columbia, the residential area of the USC AIken and the Ill-Legit Records studio in Aiken.  The single “Payasos” is from Dr. ILL’s solo album “Dr. ILL and Mr. Malpraktiz.”

Armstrong stated, “Not only am I excited about seeing our first music video in HD, I can’t wait to see how we all worked together as a team to produce promotional material for our company.  Our fans can expect to see more videos from us in the near future from many of our other albums and productions.”
