I never really thought of myself as an artist, but ever since I was a little girl I always dreamt of being one.  My style derives from my life whether it is from personal life experiences, people I know and love, music, or just my surroundings.  My style has definitely changed throughout the years, and I know that it will continue to evolve.

I like to believe that each painting that I do is a depiction of me, or at least some part of my being of who I am or who I would like to become.  To me, each painting has a story or some type of meaning attached to it.  I think that each piece of art should have a purpose and without a purpose how can I call it art?

Being an art major was a no brainer for me.  Art always appealed to me, and I hoped that being an art major would bring me one step closer in my endeavor to be a great artist.  I found that the art professors at USCA have really helped me discover who I am as an artist.  I think that without the great faculty here I would still be trying to find what kind of artist I want to be, and I will always be thankful for their help.  Hopefully in the future I will become a more well-rounded artist and make my mark in the art world.
