USC Aiken's Theater department's performance of " You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" was an amazing experience for audience and cast members alike. The cast was not limited to theater majors, but after watching the performance it was hard to believe that these students had not been taking acting classes their whole lives. The student that played the part of Charlie Brown, freshman Daniel Burkett, had never been in a major theater performance before.  The cast did an outstanding job of bringing such a beloved childhood series to life. The comedic timing by the actors made the overall performance of this classic enjoyable for the entire audience.

Sophomore fine arts major Lauren Ferguson did a fantastic job portraying Charlie Brown's faithful dog, Snoopy. Her commitment to the role through her singing, acting and dancing was a crowd favorite among all ages. The singing within the musical was well prepared and had an incredible sound within the auditorium. Each actor from the main character to the chorus all gave a great vocal performance within the musical, especially my personal favorite piece "Happiness." The acting within the cast gave a very realistic approach to the comic strip.  Junior fine arts major Lauren Jenkins played the role of Sally in the musical and it was evident that this was not her first time on the stage. She gave a memorable depiction of the character and her scenes interacting with the other actors were hilarious. Overall the show was very enjoyable, and the cast and crew's time and effort was not in vain. The finished product was a successful and astounding performance.
