Looking for a movie to watch this weekend filled with comedy, drama, and just the right amount of suspense? Then look no further and head to your local movie theater for Tyler Perry’s new film, “Why Did I Get Married Too?”
According to the UK Guardian Film Blog, the film made its debut on last Friday, April 3, making about $30.2 million dollars on the first weekend (guardian.co.uk.com ). “Why Did I Get Married Too?” is the sequel to “Why Did I Get Married?” released in 2008. You will find some of your favorite stars including: Tyler Perry, Janet Jackson, Tasha Smith, Jill Scott, Sharon Leal, Malik Yoba, Richard T. Jones, Lamman Rucker, and Michael Jai White.
The film’s plot is structured around four couples that travel to the Caribbean for a marriage retreat with the intentions of helping further their marriages. The first half reintroduces the same characters from the first movie, while providing comic relief throughout the different scenes. The second half transfers over to a more serious melodrama when everyone departs the Caribbean Island and returns home. The troubles in the individual marriages then begin to unfold to reveal a storyline you could never imagine.
