On Thursday, Feb. 10, Augusta welcomed the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band to the Imperial Theatre with a WEKL 105.7 FM van parked directly outside the building.

Augusta's classic rock station, Eagle 105 was one sponsor of the event. Through the front door leading to the auditorium, a vendor sat selling the entire CD back catalogs of the artists performing, as well as T-shirts, a live concert DVD, and a book of guitar tabs for the Derek Trucks Band's Already Free album.

The auditorium doors opened at 7:00p.m., with the sold-out show scheduled to begin at 7:30. The band took the stage 15 minutes late, but the fans did not seem to mind. Most of those in attendance were of an older generation, having followed Derek Trucks's career since he replaced Richard Betts in the Allman Brothers Band over a decade ago.
