It has been 11 years since the last Marvel Vs. Capcom series was released to console. The long anticipated installment Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: The Fate of Two Worlds has finally hit the shelves. Looking back at the past game in the series, this title has a lot to fulfill expectation wise. This game has gathered such a fan base that used copies of the MVC 2 ran gamers on average around 70 dollars. I have to say, this game stays true to the genre and offers much more in the series.
The first thing about Marvel Vs. Capcom that you will notice is the comic book artistic style. This uniqueness creates a very different visual feel to the game. The next thing is the new additions, and subtractions, from the roster. Capcom has blessed us with some of their greatest characters such as Devil May Cry's Dante. Unlike the MVC 2, which had 56 playable characters, the roster has been trimmed to 36. This does not mean that the fun and diversity has been removed. Along with the trimming of characters came the balancing of the roster, which makes if feel as if the whole roster is a viable choice when dealing with tournaments.
