Scott Stewart’s supernatural action thriller Legion starring Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, and Dennis Quaid came out last Friday. According to the Internet Movie Database, the movie raked in $18.2 million at the box office over the weekend coming in second to Avatar

Legion is about God losing faith in mankind, and he decides to send a legion of angels to bring on the apocalypse. Humanity’s only hope for survival lies in a group of strangers stranded in a desert diner along with the archangel Michael played by Paul Bettany, who has come down from the heavens. It is up to this unlikely group of heroes to protect a pregnant woman, carrying the child destined to save mankind, from the archangel Gabriel.

The special effects, action, and heart-pumping soundtrack will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. This all-star cast brings Stewart’s vision to life as well as left the audience wondering, “Is the world really going to end?” However, the movie does tend to leave out much of the explanation of why this event is suddenly taking place. For instance, the reasons God loses faith in humanity, and how Michael has fallen to earth.

If you are interested in action and special effects Legion is for you, but if you prefer a good story line just scratch it off your list.
