"Where the Wild Things are" arrives in theaters October 16. Drawn from Maurice Sendak's classic, animated children's book from 1963 and redone into a visual masterpiece by visionary director Spike Jonze, "Where the Wild Things are" promises an imaginary tale for all generations.
Many USCA students might not remember the children's book, but still for some students this tale is a blast from the past of Garfield cut-down books, sticker-covered trapper-keepers, and elementary school book fairs.
The story develops around the story of Max, a rebellious, imaginative youngster sent to his room with no supper. Max's imagination runs wild on his own, and he transports himself to the land of the wild things, where Max is king and mischief reigns supreme.
Join Max in a world of live-action puppetry and computer animation as he journeys to a realm of monsters and make-believe. "Where the Wild Things are" will take audiences back to the days of awe inspired by movies like "The Dark Crystal" (1982) and "Labyrinth" (1986).
Join Max on his adventure October 16. For more information, clips, and trailers, visit the official site on the web at wherethewildthingsare.warnerbros.com.
