Brutal Legend

"Brutal Legend" is a game created by Tim Schafer and his award winning team, Double Fine.

This game is a third-person action/adventure game starring Jack Black as the voice of the protagonist, Eddie Riggs. In addition to Black, the game will feature voices of heavy metal musicians including Lemmy Kilmister, Rob Halford, Ozzy Osbourne, Lita Ford, and other celebrities like Tim Curry.  "Brutal Legend" also has more than one hundred metal songs selected by Schafer.

Eddie Riggs sets out on a quest to build an army of some of the most famous rockers in history. The story begins with Eddie Riggs playing at a gig. Riggs transports back to a time when humans are enslaved by demons and all he has is his broad axe, his guitar, and a big block V8. Throughout the game he has to find relics that only he can decipher using his skills as a roadie. It is unclear that if Eddie will be the savior of the realm, or destroy it.

Tim Schafer promises an open world game that is equivalent to about 64 square kilometers. In the game you will be able to cast spells using his guitar and brutally attack the enemies using his broad axe, appropriately nicknamed "The Separator."  The game boasts about 23 main missions with 30 optional side missions. The game will hit shelves Tuesday, October 13.
