Yes, it is true. There is a student government organization on campus that is working to make USCA a better place for you. We are the Student Government Association (SGA). We hold weekly meetings to discuss issues that students bring to our attention and any additional issues that we have noticed ourselves. SGA Corner is here to keep you informed of what current issues SGA is addressing. Here are some of the items we discussed during this week's meeting:

SGA is working on getting more ATM machines on campus. There will be one placed in the H&SS building within the next couple of weeks. There have been many requests for improvements in the dining area. Some of these that SGA is currently working on include getting a cappuccino machine, a waffle maker, and a larger variety of pre-made salads. Students have also asked for an ice cream machine in the station.

You will see it very soon.

Some business majors have had problems getting business classes during summer sessions due to the low availibility of those classes. SGA will discuss this with the appropriate department heads in an effort to increase the number of business classes offered over the summer. We will be discussing the possibility of getting more on-line business classes.

SGA is taking steps to get a shuttle bus program going that will provide transportation between the main campus and the convocation center during scheduled events. Additionally concerning the convocation center, we are working on getting security cameras placed throughout the parking lot.

If there is an issue on campus that you feel needs to be addressed, then let one of your SGA representatives know about it. There may be something we can do.
